Browser & platform technologies

How cookies, browser storage, consent controls, Shopify platform functions, and future third-party technologies may operate on this website.

18 Detailed policy sections

This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies may be used in connection with the LUNSY UI website. The current custom website sections created for LUNSY UI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) do not intentionally install advertising pixels, behavioral advertising tags, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, session-recording software, or comparable marketing tracking scripts. However, the Shopify platform, theme, consent tools, browser, applications installed by the site operator, or other service providers may use cookies or related technologies for essential website functions.

This Policy should be read together with the Privacy Policy. If the website configuration changes and analytics, advertising, personalization, heat-mapping, or other non-essential tracking technologies are added later, this Policy and any required consent mechanism should be updated to accurately reflect those technologies.

1. What Is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small data file that a website or service may store on a visitor’s browser or device. Cookies can support functions such as maintaining a session, remembering preferences, recognizing that a browser has previously interacted with a service, improving website security, or measuring how a service is used.

Some cookies last only for the current browsing session and are removed when the browser closes. Other cookies may remain for a defined period unless they are deleted earlier by the visitor or browser settings.

2. Similar Technologies

Websites can also use technologies that perform functions similar to cookies. Depending on the service, these may include local storage, session storage, software development kit identifiers, pixels, tags, embedded scripts, device identifiers, or other browser-based storage and recognition mechanisms.

References to “cookies” in this Policy may include comparable browser or device technologies where the context requires it.

3. Current Custom Website Configuration

The custom LUNSY UI website sections supplied for the current site are designed primarily with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify Liquid, Shopify file references, and visual interface behavior. They do not intentionally add third-party advertising trackers, behavioral advertising scripts, or analytics tags.

The custom project inquiry form is also configured not to transmit or store the values entered into the form. It validates required fields in the browser and displays a message after successful completion. That form behavior does not require a custom LUNSY UI advertising or analytics cookie.

4. Shopify and Platform Cookies

The website is intended for use within Shopify. Shopify and its infrastructure may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to provide the storefront, maintain platform security, support network delivery, manage preferences, prevent abuse, or provide other platform functions.

The exact cookies set by Shopify can vary based on the store configuration, region, installed applications, theme functionality, checkout features, consent settings, and future platform updates. LUNSY UI does not control every platform-level cookie and does not represent that the same cookie list will apply in every visitor session.

5. Categories of Cookies That May Be Present

Strictly Necessary or Essential Cookies

Essential cookies may be required for basic website operation, security, session continuity, network routing, fraud prevention, or other functions necessary to deliver the website. Blocking essential cookies may cause parts of a website to operate incorrectly.

Preference or Functional Cookies

If enabled by the platform or theme, functional cookies may remember settings such as language, consent preferences, interface options, or other choices that improve continuity between pages or visits.

Analytics Cookies

The custom LUNSY UI sections do not intentionally install Google Analytics or another third-party analytics package. If analytics technology is added by the store owner, platform, application, or theme in the future, the website should identify that technology and obtain consent where applicable.

Advertising or Targeting Cookies

The custom LUNSY UI sections do not intentionally install advertising pixels or behavioral advertising tags. If Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, retargeting technology, or similar advertising tools are added later, this Policy and consent settings should be updated before or at the time those tools are enabled.

6. Consent

Whether consent is required for a particular cookie depends on the cookie’s purpose, applicable law, the visitor’s location, and how the website is configured. Some strictly necessary cookies may operate without opt-in consent where permitted by law because they are required to provide a requested service or maintain security.

Non-essential analytics, advertising, or personalization cookies may require consent in certain jurisdictions. If such technologies are added to this website, the site operator should configure an appropriate consent mechanism and should avoid activating non-essential tracking before required consent is obtained.

7. Browser Controls

Most browsers allow visitors to review, block, delete, or restrict cookies through browser settings. The available controls depend on the browser and device. A visitor may also be able to configure a browser to clear cookies automatically when a session ends.

Blocking all cookies can affect website functionality. Some platform features may not work correctly if essential browser storage is disabled.

8. Global Privacy Controls and Similar Signals

Some browsers or extensions may transmit privacy preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control. Whether and how those signals are honored can depend on the website platform, consent manager, applicable law, and the technology used on the site.

The current custom LUNSY UI sections do not implement an independent advertising system or sale of personal information. If future website functionality creates obligations related to recognized privacy signals, the site configuration and this Policy should be reviewed.

9. Third-Party Applications and Embedded Services

A Shopify store owner may install applications, embedded media, chat tools, scheduling tools, analytics products, payment tools, marketing services, or other third-party technology. Those services can independently place or access cookies and may have privacy and cookie practices separate from LUNSY UI.

Before adding a third-party application, the site operator should review the provider’s data practices, determine whether consent is required, and update this Policy if the application materially changes the website’s use of cookies or similar technologies.

10. Payment and Checkout Technologies

LUNSY UI’s listed design services do not include payment processing services for clients. If the website later uses Shopify checkout, a third-party payment provider, or another transaction service, that provider may use cookies or other technical information to secure and process transactions under its own policies.

This Cookie Policy does not describe every cookie or data-processing practice used within a third-party payment system that operates independently from the custom LUNSY UI design sections.

11. Security and Fraud Prevention

Platform or infrastructure providers may use browser storage, device information, IP data, or related technologies to help detect abuse, protect accounts, manage network traffic, and reduce fraudulent activity. These functions may be treated differently from analytics or advertising technologies under applicable law.

12. Retention of Cookies

The lifespan of a cookie depends on the party that sets it and its purpose. Session cookies may expire when the browser session ends, while persistent cookies may remain for a defined period. The current custom LUNSY UI code does not set a custom advertising-cookie retention schedule.

Visitors can often remove persistent cookies manually using browser controls even before their scheduled expiration.

13. International Visitors

Cookie rules vary by jurisdiction. Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, certain U.S. states, and other regions may have specific rights or consent expectations concerning non-essential tracking. Website operators should configure consent tools based on the laws that apply to their visitors and actual website technologies.

14. Changes to Website Technology

This Policy reflects the current intended custom website configuration as of the revision date. Shopify, installed applications, the theme, or the store operator may later change the website’s technology. Adding analytics, advertising, embedded services, customer-account features, chat tools, or personalization may create new cookie categories.

When the website’s technology changes materially, this Policy should be revised so that it accurately describes the cookies and similar technologies actually in use.

15. No Advertising Data Sale by LUNSY UI

LUNSY UI does not operate an independent advertising network through the custom website sections and does not sell website visitor information to advertisers merely because a person visits the site or contacts us about design services.

16. Relationship to the Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy explains broader information-handling practices, including information that a person may voluntarily provide through external business communications. This Cookie Policy focuses specifically on browser and device technologies used in connection with website access.

17. Policy Changes

We may revise this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, platform configuration, legal requirements, or business practices. A new revision date will be displayed when the Policy changes.
